Parma
The town of Parma is in Emilia-Romagna, is the capital of the province and in its territory the seat of the same name universities. It is located in northern Italy, in the western part of 'Emilia, between the Apennines and the Po Valley, the city is divided into two by the river Parma, a tributary of the Po that just before entering the heart of the historic center, receives the waters of 'tributary Baganza. The torrent Parma is a watercourse changing a regime that alternates the full tumultuose of the winter season to desolate dry summer. Thanks to recent studies and archaeological investigations it was discovered that the name of cottà should come from Latin voice parma / parmae which means shield round that recalls the shape of the city. The country is very famous in the world for its food and for its cuisine, in particular for Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese and the Prosciutto di Parma in fact these products are protected by their respective consortia of production that certify the origin and quality.
