Piacenza is a city set between Emilia and Lombardy in fact the city and its province suffer a very significant influence in Milan. In the city there are many noble palaces of considerable value characterized by beautiful gardens because the city is called "city of palaces" for the great quantity present in the territory. In the city there is also a Gallery of Modern Art which is one of the main Italian visa granting more than seven hundred works dall'Ottocento today. In town there is a seat of 'Catholic University of the Sacred Heart with five faculties that are Agriculture, Law, Economics, Science Education, Sociology, is also a home of the Politecnico di Milano namely Architecture and Engineering and the Conservatory of Music.
