Ascoli Piceno is a city of Marche capital of the province and episcopal see. The city is one of the most beautiful and monumental d'Italia, its historic center is entirely made in travertine and has as its main centre the charming Piazza del Popolo in Renaissance style. The square welcomes most important monuments of the city as the Palace of the Captains along with the historic Coffee Meletti, the church of San Francesco with the newsstand of Lazarus Morelli, the loggia of Merchants and its immediate vicinity Theatre Ventidio Basso. Other core citizen is the charming urban space Square Arringo which is the oldest square in Ascoli, which is the Cathedral of Sant'Emidio that on the right side of the Door Musa and below the main aisle dedicated to the Crypt patron of the city.
