Macerata is a city of central Italy, capital of the province of Marche. The city is situated on a hill between the river valley power and that of Chienti River about 30 km dall'Adriatico. Very interesting to point out is the opera season held during the summer. In the city is also the university that is among the oldest in the world founded in 1290.
